Lightningpaw didn't try to dodge the attack. Instead he jumped on Dewflower while she was on her belly, and rolled her under him. Lightningpaws fur was rustling widly in the wind, and his heart was punding; he wanted to impress Dewflower. "Hows this"? he asked her eagerly. (NICE drawing, and I ate way to mush Halloween candy )

Dewflower got to her paws, her short tail brushing back and forth. "That was excelent," She complimented, a sarcastic grin on her face. "For an aprentice, that is." Her grin grew larger, and she raised her chin. She liked how Lightningpaw already had an idea of what he had to do in a fight. It wouldn't be hard to teach him new moves, maybe he could even make up some of his own. Dewflower could feel the potential that this apprentice had, and she loved it's power. Much like herself when he was an apprentice, except she was more troublesome and overly-energetic. "I think your strength is your speed." She evaluated. "You remind me of Spottedheart." She tried not to make it much of an insult, because medicine cats did not fight. "She is a swift, wise cat, but unfortunately she hardly has any stainima or power..." She continued, getting to her paws, pacing in a circle. 'I'll test him to see if I'm right; If he is wise and swift, then I won't have to worry about training him that... I'll just have to work on his power...' Dewflower whipped around and imediately charged for her apprentice, attacking him as if he were a bird, about to fly away.
((Thanks! ;3 And, I tried not to eat too much... xD))

Lightningpaw decided he had enough time to defend himself rather than hop away. He quickly turned around, and launched out his back legs at tremendous speed. But unfortenitly he got the timing wrong, he saw his mentor ready to leap at him. Quickly he changed his stratagy and hopped out of the way, fast like lightining.
He blushed with embaresment at his other move with the back legs. He got the timing wrong and felt very stupid. "Sorry I got the timing with the back legs wrong, that was very stupid of me". Lightningpaw mewed.

Dewflower skidded to a stop then looked to where she heard Lightningpaw's meow. She turned herself around, shaking some of the grass and dirt clumps off of her paws. "Don't feel sorry, you'll be lucky with some young warriors with moves like that!" To avoid Lightningpaw getting confused, she explained, "When I saw you were going to defend, I expected you to stay in that spot, even if you were late. When I went for the blow, you were suddenly gone! I thought a badger grabbed you by the tail and yanked you from my reach." She joked. "When you're quick like that, you can fake an attack or defence, only to run right before they attack. Once you're gone, they stubble, you have a perfect chance to go around them and attack them from behind!" Amazing potential she saw in her apprentice. His fighting would be more like a member of WindClan, but that will surprise the other Clan's at least.

Lightningpaws eyes popped open wide! Dewflower was praising him, he felt so warmed by that! Here she was praising him, and telling him not to worry about his mistakes, and he was still worrying? Lightningpaw felt pretty stupid still, but imdetly dismissed the thought from his head. He had more important things to do. Like train with Dewflower for instance!
Lightningpaw could feel his blood pounding in his heart, rushing through his veins, and he felt so great! But he had a few questions to ask Dewflower first. One about Sunpaw and one about his position in his clan.
"Dewflower, I have 2 important questions to ask you" Lightningpaw blurteted out all of a sudden. He blushed with embaresment again, he seemed to do that a lot, more than he could've ever imagined.
"My first question is about Sunpaw. I am in love with her, and we have been friends for a long time. I feel so warmed by her, she is so nice. Do I tell her I lve her or should I wait until we are warriors"? Lightningpaw asked. He cleared his throat before continuing.
"And my second question is about my progress. I just want to know how I'm doing so far in the clan". Lightningpaw asked.

((DUDE OH MY GOD HAWKSTAR YOU HAVE 1,045 POSTS HOLEY CRAP!!!! XD ))
Dewflower tilted her head, then fell to her side, bursting out into a pool of mewing laughter. When she finally finished, she got back up, the wide grin still left on her face. "Lightningpaw... has this been on your mind the whole time?" She looked down at her paws the grin faded, a hint of sorrow replaced her amusement. "I have to admit, I have been admiring a tom for some time now... But I've never noticed whether or not he has an interest in me. I've been trying not to be as snooty as I used to be." She looked up at her apprentice, "I started to like him when I was a kit, we'd rough-house and I'd try to get him to cause some trouble with me... But when we became apprentices, our rutines were totally opposite, so we weren't around eachother. Our friendship faded... When I was made a warrior was when I realized I admired him.. OH!" She sighed, sitting close to the ground as if she were stalking a vole, head resting on her front paws. "Wait!" She perked up. "Sunpaw?!" She realized what she could do to help both herself and Lightningpaw. "Maybe I can help you out; I could talk to Sunpaw's mentor about training with us, that way you can spend time with her. By the time you become warriors, then you can admit your love for her, and there wold be a high chance that she feels the same way! Oh I wish my mentor would have... Oh, nevermind. I never told anyone who I loved..." Dewflower was right. She would hate it if another cat found out who she loved, and she tried her best to hide it from the clan.

(OMG I just relized that too)
Lightningpaw shoke his head. "No she hasn't been on my mind the whole time, just now she went popping into my head. Whenever I say the word question I think Sunpaw". Lightningpaw mewed with embaresment. He began to relize that he was the cat who got embaressed in the clan. He blushed really big this time.
"Really, that happened to you? Then you know what I'm going through right"?

"Of course I know what you're going through darling, you have ears don't you?" Dewflower spat. But when she saw her apprentice blushing so much, she realized the she should be nicer. "I'm sorry. I need to start acting differently..." She sighed. It felt so strange to act nice. She loved it when her come-backs impressed the toughest warriors around, the irritated looks on their faces... But if she wanted the cat she loved to even notice her, she'd have to start being much nicer, especially since she'll be around him more if Lightningpaw starts training with Sunpaw. Dewflower swept her short tail over her apprentice's paws, sympathy in her eyes for the first time in forever.

Lightningpaw wrinklied his nose as if he smelled something bad. He sighed, he knew he would have to wait for Sunpaw, but what if something happened to her. He dissmissed the thought quickly before he raged out of control. "WHat know"?

((We already did hunting training with Lightningpaw and Dewflower before, haven't we?))
Dewflower got to her paws and stretched, her bones cracking to a comfortable position. "I say we've done enough of getting started. Tomorrow we can start the real moves, but I'll have to ask Sunpaw's mentor what he thinks." She meowed, trying to swipe the grin off of her face when she thought of what might be going on in her apprentice's mind at the moment.
