Napping

Curled up on a ball of moss, Rosekit tried to sleep. He hadn't been getting very much sleep lately and today was no different. He'd only been able to achieve an hour or so long nap, but nothing more. Giving up on sleep, Rosekit got up, stretched out his small front legs and padded out of the cozy nursery. He narrowed his eyes as they adjusted to the sun. It was bright out. Warm. A generally nice day. Sighing, a frown on his face, the tabby kit looked around the clearing.

"Good morning Rosekit!" purred Ravenwhisker as he padded by. He tried to hide all of his disapointment, since he couldn't help feeling sorry for the kit. There weren't anyother kits for Rosekit to play with.
Ravenwhisker stopped and looked down at the kit. "Up to anything today?" he asked.
The sun was shining brightly on his back, feeling warm. It was probably the last sunshine they'd have this leaf-fall.

"Hello Ravenwhisker." Rosekit replied, looking up at the warrior. He couldn't help but feel Ravenwhisker felt sorry for him. It made his fur ruffle. "Nope. Nothing." He mewed, sitting down. His eyes swept around the clearing. "There's nothing to do really."

Ravenwhisker's fur ruffled as a breeze made a few clouds cover the sunshine. "That's too bad." He sighed. He was thinking of how long the kit had been in the nursery, and how long it would be before he'd need an apprentice. "I was wondering...." Then he stopped meowing as he noticed the kit had just woken up or something, because Rosekit's nest marked his fresh scent. "Er... Well nevrmind, if you're just wakig up?" Ravenwhiskershuffled his paw. He was a very shy cat, especially around those younger than him, because he wasn't used to being around them. He longed for an apprentice.

"Hey Ravenwhisker!" Flamepaw said. "Hi Rosekit!" She greeted the kit, and the warrior. Her tail lashed. She still had no mentor. "I was wondering Ravenwhisker if you i mean it its ok with Hawkie you could train me a few times i mean gosh you have no apprentice and i have no mentor.....". Flamepaw mewed. her green gaze met his. Her red fur fuffled in te breeze.
