Thunderstorm decided to come here, his body rippling with muscles, and his heart pounding. His 1st apprentice!! He felt so off the ground, and happy, that he felt the wind could carry him away to starclan if he didn't clutch the ground first.
"Are you ready Shadowpaw? Because it's time for you to start training"! Thunderstorm meowed. It sounded like more of a roar than a meow. That scared Thunderstorm for a second, but he got over it quickly.

Shadowpaw awoke, jumping to his feet, and padded out to where Thunderstorm was waiting. Sitting down in front of his mentor,
"what are we going to do?." he mewed excitedly.

Shadowpaws ears perked up, this would be the first time he had ever left the camp, and he was excited. Jumping to his feet, he look at Thunderstorm.
"lets go!" he mewed.

Thunderstorm stopped and turned around to stare at Shadowpaw. Shadowpaw seemed so eager to learn, and he was pleased at that because it would make this process eeasier. "Hunting or fighting"? Thunderstorm asked.

"They both would be fun..." Thought Shadowpaw. He quickly made up his mind.
"I want to learn how to hunt" he answered.

"Hunting it is"! chanted Thunderstorm, and marched down the territory to the perfect hhunting spot, near the shadowclan border, but not too close to it. Otherwise shadowclan would have a big fit! Anyway once he got there, he skidded to a hault. Then Thunderstorm asked Shadowpaw "What do you know about hunting"?

"well... I know how to pounce." Shadowpaw answered "but not much more than that." The black apprentice sat patiently waiting for his mentors instructions.

"A good start for w new apprentice, Shadowpaw, but you'll need to know more than that I'm afraid"! Thunderstorm meowed. He sniffed the air until he caught the tasty scent of a vole. He licked his lips and crouched down. "When hunting, Shadowpaw, you have to squat down like I am doing now. Try it".

Shadowpaw looked at his mentor, trying to memorize the hunters crouch, after a little he decided to try it. Shadowpaw padded a tail length away from Thunderstorm, and lowered his body till it was barely above the ground. He shivered instinctively when his slick black fur touched the dew covered grass. Shadowpaw's paw slipped on the wet grass and he suddenly lost his balance and fell to the ground with a yowl. He picked himself up, and looked to Thunderstorm, "How did i do?"
