Willowpaw limped out of the den that she shared with Spottedheart, it was sun high. She walked over to the fresh-kill pile to get some food. When she got their she let out a long yawn and picked out a mouse. She when over and sat down by the entrance of the medicine cat den. She let out another long yawn stretched sat down in the shade and started eating her mouse.

Brackenmask was beginning to worry about Sunpaw. He hadn't seen her since the badger attack. He stumbled upon Willowpaw. "Hello Willowpaw, how are things"? he asked nervously. His fur began to stand up when he remembered that Sunpaw had left with Swiftclaw to help lonors, but she said she'd be back. He let out a long sigh, and then let his fur lay flat. Brackenmask couldn't show Willowpaw what he was worried about. He tried to look more confident and more serious.

Willowpaw looked up when she herd her name. "Well things are about as good as can be expected." She said with a sigh. She looked at Brackenmask for a moment. "What is wrong? And don't lie to me ether. I know something is wrong" She said looking up at the large warrior, she always knew when something was wrong. She sighted and stretched, she winced as she stretched her bad leg to far and pulled it back close to her body.

Willowpaw looked up when she herd her name. "Well things are about as good as can be expected." She said with a sigh. She looked at Brackenmask for a moment. "What is wrong? And don't lie to me ether. I know something is wrong" She said looking up at the large warrior, she always knew when something was wrong. She sighted and stretched, she winced as she stretched her bad leg to far and pulled it back close to her body. Brackenmask sighed. He knew he souldn't lie to Willowpaw, she was a medicene cat apprentice. He took a deep breath and mewed "It's about my apprentice, Sunpaw. After the badger attack, she...." He trailed off, lost for the right words. |

Willowpaw looked up at him "It will be ok. You will see." She said sadly. "there is still a chance that she will come back. When was the last time that you saw her." She asked.

Brackenmask looked stunned. Did Willowpaw know Sunpaw had left with Swiftclaw to go help? For a second he looked stunned, angry, and sad. Then he sighed, he knew he shouldn't take his anger out on Willowpaw, and his anger, stunned and sad look was replaced by plain misery. "You know she left don't you? I told my younger brother, Lightningpaw, you know him don't you? He was so upset, he is a really good friend to her. He even loves her, you know"! Brackenmask mewed sadly.

When Willowpaw saw the look of anger on his face she backed up and hissed. "Don't you look at me that, Brackenmask. I did not tell her to go away." She said to him hostly. "I am not certain that she has left. And yes i now him. How is he?" she replied to his questioning.

"It'll be ok, Brackenmaske, you will see." Willowpaw said with am apologetic mew. Willowpaw got up stiffly and stretched. "Why don't you get Lightningpaw and we can all go hunting, I need to get out of the camp. She said with a yawn.

"Well if your sure, than I'll go get Lightningpaw". mewed Brackenmask. As he ran to get Lightningpaw, his fur began to prickle. He thought he smelled Sunpaws scent, and it was really fresh! He dismissed the thought, and wet to Lightningpaw. Then they ran back here together.
"I'm coming, I'm coming"! yowled Lightningpaw, crashing through the trees. He looked up at Willowpaw and smiled. He used to love her, but then he relized his heart was with Sunpaw, not Willowpaw, because Willowpaw was a med cat apprentice. "How are you Willowpaw"? Lightningpaw asked.
