Father?

[Spottedheart]

"If you are who you say you are, I might be." Calicoclaw stated, still in great shock, but keeping his back straight. 'Is this why StarClan wanted me to come to the stream?' He wondered, making himself feel so naive.

[Brighteyes]

"Why wouldI try to decieve a cat that I have never met? You look so much like my sister that was killed by a badger," Brighteyes came closer, feeling safe beside this warrior.

[Spottedheart]

"Well I'm sorry if my appearence makes you sad." Calicoclaw sighed, looking back towrds the water. 'This is either ironic, or true...' His thoughts kept buzzing about his head.

[Brighteyes]

"CalicoClaw, I have a feeling that you are my father, you told me that u knew my mother,and i was one of your kits. I can ask starclan when I go to the moonpool again, dont youi want to know the truth?" Brighteyes tried her best to comfort the warrior from his troubled mind.

[Spottedheart]

"Yes, I..."
"Oh there you are brighteyes!" Spottedheart interupted the ShadowClan warrior without even knowing he was there. She had three moss-balls wedged between her teeth, about to escape her grasp since she was running so quickly.
Spottedheart suddenly came to a stop when her paws touched the water at the edge of the stream, making skid-marks in the dirt behind her. "I have to get back quick!" She mummbled around the moss in her mouth. Water splashed up in tiny dropplets and she dunked the moss-balls into the water, letting them soak up as much as they could.

"I'm sorry, are you late for something because of me?" Calicoclaw apologized in a low voice to Brighteyes, not to sure why Spottedheart was in his territory. He started to quietly back away, hoping the ThunderClan medicine cat never saw him there.

[Brighteyes]

"FATHER WAIT!" Brighteyes called out to the warrior, she wanted him to stay around, scared that she wont ever see him again if he left.

[Spottedheart]

Spottedheart lifted her head from the stream, water drizzling from the soaked moss-balls.
"Father?" She repeated. Then she noticed Calicoclaw, she had known him- her sister's former mate.
She dropped the moss at her paws, then meowed, "It's been awhile, hasn't it Calicoclaw? I see you found your kin." Spottedheart took a long sigh, looking at the ShadowClan warrior with her wide, worried eyes.

"Yes, I just ran into her." Calicoclaw explained, making sure Spottedheart knew that the two didn't plan to meet there. 'She's probably mad at me. It's my fault her sister died...' His head hung low, guilt traveling through his body. 'Wish I would have escaped when I had the chance.'

[Brighteyes]

"Auntie, was my feelings right? Is this Shadowclan warrior, really my father?" Brighteyes stared at her aunt and father talking.

[Spottedheart]

"Yes Brighteyes." Spottedheart answered before Calicoclaw could, since she was sure that he probably didn't know since he's never seen his kits before.
She deepened her voice to a shallow growl, "Calicoclaw, she is one of your kits. You also had two more; one is living in WindClan with Brighteyes, and the other unfortunately died, in a recent attack..." She took a pause to greive for the unfortunate death of the apprentice that had a lot in resemblence to the ShadowClan warrior.

Calicoclaw tilted his head and looked at the young Medicine Cat that was presumed to be his kin.
"So those were lies? Only Blueeyes died in the traps around here?" His insides felt hallow, eager for his beloved she-cat from ThunderClan to be in his presence.

[Brighteyes]

"Father, Spottedheart to telling the truth. She was my mentor when I was Brightpaw, and she gave me my warrior name, in honor of mother and her blue eyes. I know for a fact that when I get back to Windclan, ur son, Bluestone will be waiting for me and I will let him know that I saw our father," Brighteyes licked the warriors shoulder gently.
