Dewflower ran out into the clearing where she and her apprentice were hunting before.
"Ready to catch a bird?" Dewflower asked Lightningpaw. She kept her sences racing through the forest, tring to detect prey. "You have to have quick reflexes, because you need to be fast... Sometimes you even have to jump."

Dewflower crowched down. "Wait untill it lands. And this time, I want you to try catching it, without watching me first." She challanged, watching Lightningpaw.

Lightningpaw watched the bird land on the ground. Lightningpaw silently stalked up to the bird. He pounced on it. Lightningpaw clawed the bird in the neck and it wenmt limp.

"Nice catch!" Dewflower meowed. "Usually it flys away on your first try, but you were lucky!" She padded over to her apprentice and she swung her tail side to side, verry rapidly. "So what do ya say, we can hunt for the rest of the day, then tomorrow we can do battle training?"

"sure". Lightningpaw toke the prey back to Dewflower. He sniffed the air. "I smell somethig wird". he hissed. "a badger set and it is fresh".

Dewflower nodded her head. "You're right... It didn't smell this fresh when I showed you the territory! Someone new must have moved in!" Dewflower hissed in discust. "I can't believe it! Well, we better go back to camp and report this to Bramblestar right away!" She padded a litle ways, then flicked her tail, to signal Lightningpaw to follow.
